Second National Title for Otago Girls
The Otago Girls High School curling team of Emma Sutherland, Mhairi-Bronté Duncan, Heloise Fitzpatrick, Diana Yeritsyan and Michelle Bong won the 2015 NZ Secondary Schools Curling Championship title with a 9-6 win in the final of this year's event in Auckland, their second championship in as many years.
Earlier in the month, the Otago squad had repeated as South Island Secondary School Champions in a tightly fought match over an experienced Maniototo High School team played at the Dunedin Ice Stadium.

BRONZE FOR NEW ZEALAND SENIOR MENS
New Zealand Senior Mens Team which includes Dunedin curler Dan Mustapic won a Bronze Medal at the recent 2015 Senior World Champioinship in Sochi Russia. They responded well to a tough loss in the semi finals to the eventual winner United States by defeating Denmark by a score of 6-4. Playing with Mustapic were Hans Frauenlob- skip, Lorne De Pape - second, Iain Craig - lead, Dave Watt - alternate.

Harley Team Wins 2016 New Zealand Masters Games Championhip
Edwin Harley and his team Maurice Wiliamson, Charlie Burrell and Ken Witson curling out of the Dunedin Curling Club went undefeated in the 20 team competition to claim first place in the 2016 New Zealand Masters Games played in Dunedin 1 -2 Feb 2016. Second event honours went to the rink from Naseby and third divivion to the Southern Penguins from Gore.
Becker Team wins Summer Spiel
.The summer bonspiel made a comeback at Dunedin Ice Stadium over the weekend. The bonspiel is a relaxed event designed to bring curlers of all types and ages together.The bonspiel was taken out by Team Peter Becker, from Maniototo. Playing with Becker was Nelson Eade, Dave Greer and Simon Neilson. Becker’s experienced line-up scored the most wins in an intense programme of seven short games, and did sufficiently well in a series of individual curling tests to head off Team Taylor from Wellington/Auckland and Team Grieve from Auckland.
Annual AGM for the Dunedin Curling Club is being held on Wed 6 April at 6pm at the Dunedin Ice Stadium (upstairs lounge).
Volunteers are required to help with the running of the curling leagues.
