WHAT TO WEAR
The air temperature in thr rink is around 6-7 degrees C, so it can feel cold for some people. You will be bending and moving so you should where clothing which will allow you to move freely such as:
-
Sweatshirt or light jacket (fleece or similar fabrics are not recommended because they tend to shed debris on the ice)
-
Loose fitting, warm pants
-
Light weight gloves and a hat if you think you may get cold
-
Clean Shoes - Athletic shoes are fine but they must be clean. Flat soft soled shoes are also okay. Please avoid shoes or boots that are hard soled or have a heel as they can be quite slippery on the ice making it hard to get your balance.
Note curling ice needs to be kept as clean as possible as any debris on the ice can drastically affect the stones movement as it slides down the ice.
We prefer that you clean your shoes prior to coming to the Ice Stadium and not wear them outside. If you must wear them to the club please be sure to clean them well before you step on the ice.
